This Hidden Wisconsin Book Warehouse Has New $1 Kids Books

If you have an avid young reader at home, or know a teacher that needs new books for their classroom, there's a warehouse you need to visit soon in Madison, Wisconsin.

Summer Reading Challenge

I had one of those full-on “wait…HOW did I not know about this?!” mom moments today, and if you’ve got kids who love books (or need a little push to love them), you’re going to feel this too.

Summer break is just a few weeks away, which means my weekly ‘let’s go to the library’ battles with my kids are about to begin.

I have always loved to read in my spare time, but my kids do not. The "summer slide" is something we work hard to avoid every year, and it's a lot easier to accomplish when we have a lot of books at home for my kids to choose from. It also helps when we buy brand new books that my kids are excited to read, and that gets very expensive...but it doesn't have to.

Books4School in Madison

Today I learned that there is a hidden, no-frills warehouse called Books4School in Madison that sells hundreds of brand new books for $1 to $3!

What Books4School lacks in décor they make up for in deals on brand-new books for  babies through high school and beyond.

And honestly? There’s something kind of magical about handing your kid a pile of books and saying, “Yep, you can get all of these.”

Books4School is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is located at 201 E. Badger Rd. in Madison. Happy shopping, and happy reading!
