Christmas 2020 will be celebrated differently, but I think we all need to remember that "different" doesn't have to be bad.

My family's Thanksgiving celebration was much smaller this year, it was just my immediately family at my parents' house, and we all agreed it was a nice change. Sure, we missed celebrating with and seeing our extended family, but honestly, it was nice to have things much lower-key.

As we are facing a Christmas celebration much the same this year, I am totally looking forward to it, but I know we have to find some new ways to pack in more holiday fun to make it special for the kids.

2020 may be WAY different, but the Stateline area is blessed to have a ton of holiday events we can still experience this year. Festival of Lights, All Aglow at Nicholas Conservatory and Gardens, Christmas Town at Summerfield Zoo, are just a few of the first ones that come to mind, and now there's a new holiday lights show from City First Church that we need to add to the must-visit list this Christmas!

For the next three weekends, City First Church at 5950 Spring Creek Rd. in Rockford will be hosting a free holiday drive-thru Christmas Spectacular Experience throughout their campus. It will feature a 300 foot mega light tunnel, Olaf and Frozen Land, and Santaland.

The Community Christmas Spectacular drive-thru at City First Church will run Thursday, Fridays, and Saturdays starting this Thursday (December 3) through Saturday December 19 from 6 to 9 p.m.
