A popular TV drama is casting residents within 2 hours of Chicago as paid extras for its upcoming 2025-2026 season, and taping begins immediately.

Filming Underway for New Season of Chicago P.D.

According to a posting by Auditions Database on Facebook, NBC's hit drama Chicago P.D. is gearing up for its new season, and production is once again turning to Illinois residents to be part of the experience.

Filmed entirely in Chicago, the long-running series from Dick Wolf continues to showcase the city's streets, landmarks, and neighborhoods, making local extras essential to its realistic style.

Casting Call Open for Background Roles

Producers of Chicago P.D. are now seeking paid background actors for Episode 13012, offering general, non-speaking roles.

Applicants must be at least 18, live within two hours of Chicago, and have flexible weekday availability between November 21 and December 4.

Production will pause from November 27 to 28 for the holiday, but no acting experience is required, and all genders and ethnicities are encouraged to apply.

Pay Details and Requirements

According to the Auditions Database post, extras are paid $132.80 for eight hours, with time-and-a-half after that. Additionally, those bringing their own vehicle (any color except red or white) will receive an extra $35.

Applicants must provide their clothing measurements, recent unfiltered photos, and information about any visible tattoos.
