What is going on? Since the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, there has been chaos in Illinois schools.

According to WIFR, "Auburn administration and police investigated a report of a threat at the end of the school day on Thursday. Students and Staff remained safe during this time as the student in question was removed by administration immediately upon receiving the report. As the incident occurred at the end of the school day and due to the evidence coming out of the investigation, a lock down was not considered necessary as the student was already removed from the school population. Consequences in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct were administered."

That is just one example.

Yesterday there were problems near Clinton Rosette Middle School in Dekalb. The problem wasn't at the school thank goodness but it was too close for comfort. Nobody wants to see a SWAT team any where near a school.

Today, more drama occurred in Dekalb as threats were discovered via social media against Dekalb schools. Again, no one was harmed.

We're not done yet.

Earlier today, "A threatening message was discovered in a student bathroom at Stillman Valley High School. The discovery was made at 11:30 a.m. The Ogle County Sheriff’s Department was contacted and the appropriate safeguards have been put in place. There will be police presence throughout the day and school will resume as normal."

Problems also arose in Genoa earlier this week. "The Daily-Chronicle reports that 18 year old Regino Mercado threatened Kishwaukee Education Consortium's secretary that he was going to "get his goons and shoot up the school” on February 16th."

Im not sure what's going on but I don't like it. It kind of reminds me of a full moon. All the crazies seem to come out then. For some reason this tragic event is bringing them out as well.
