If you drive by the boarded-up Lube Pros at 2431 S. Alpine in Rockford often, you may have noticed a very interesting message on the sign located outside the building that says "We bought it!! Now what? Cash for best idea. 815-234-8866". If you've seen this sign you're probably also wondering if it's legit. The good news? It totally is, according to the Rockford Register Star.

The RRStar reports that Tony and Kathy Berg of Byron recently purchased the former Lube Pros location on South Alpine after having their eye on the property for five years. It's a prime location that they waited to snag a great deal on, which is exactly what they got late last year. The only question left was, what should they do with it?

Tony Berg recently told the RRStar;

“I figured a hundred heads are better than just my head, so if I can get 20 people to call me and tell me what they think, it doesn’t hurt anything

A lot of people did call, and they had several great ideas ranging from a diner, to a used-car lot, to a beauty salon.

Do you have a great idea you'd like to share with the Bergs? Give them a call, I believe the line of inspiration is still open at 815-234-8866.
