The football season is nearly here and the Chicago Bears are expecting big things.

The fans are expecting big things too. We just didn't think it was going to be big giant bobbleheads.

The Chicago Bears are celebrating their 100th anniversary this year so they're putting up giant bobbleheads of some of their most famous players all over the city.

The week of a Bears home game you'll find one the bobbleheads somewhere in Chicago and since they first preseason game is this week, the legendary Red Grange is up first.

Made of high-density foam and weighing between 150 and 200 pounds, the Red Grange statue will be moved to Soldier Field before the game on August 8.

You can expect to see big bobbleheads of other Bears greats like Walter Payton, Brian Urlacher, and Mike Singletary throughout the season as well.

The Bears are actually going to give away bobbleheads of those players at home games too.

Commemorative bobbleheads of Grange will be given out to the first 20,000 fans to enter the stadium through any gate. This will be true of all the commemorative statues that will be placed during the coming season.

Even if the team doesn't live up to the big expectations on the field you can be sure to see very big bobbleheads. That counts for something, doesn't it?
