It's not everyday you see a mass of people hanging outside of a FedEx Office store but yesterday was an exception.

I'm guessing the Rockford FedEx Office wasn't doing a 2-for-1 on paper goods or ink and toner so what's the explanation?

The line up is due to Jimmy John's, which is next door to FedEx Office, selling $1 subs yesterday.

I had a feeling that the $1 subs would be popular but not this popular. The line stretched clear past FedEx Office in this shot that was posted on Instagram by madisonfranklin311. The line couldn't have lasted that long with considering they make the sandwiches at Jimmy John's "freaky fast."

However, the long lines at Jimmy John's weren't just at the location on E. State St. During my drive home, I noticed a line of cars spilling out onto Alpine from the Jimmy John's restaurant just north of Sandy Hollow.

Did you check out Jimmy John's $1 subs yesterday? How long did you wait in line?
