2020’s ‘Million Pennies For St. Jude’ Is More Important Than Ever

The pandemic has hit the world in a harsh manner, including forces hundreds of thousands of in-person events to be canceled. In relation to, Q98.5 (and radio stations around the country) had no choice but to cancel planned events to raise funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. You may not be aware but people like you account for a majority of the donations to St. Jude.

Our annual Country Cares for St. Jude Kids radiothon is scheduled for early February but here is your chance to get a just start on the fundraising efforts. Our "Million Pennies Challenge brought to you by Window World of Rockford" involves special jars available for anyone and everyone to fill. These jars would be perfect for any location where coins (or cash) are applicable. Schools, offices, shopping, near vending machines, near slot machines, at gas stations, banks, literally anywhere.

You can get a jar (or as many as you'd like) at Q98.5's studio, 3901 Brendenwood Road in Rockford. Depending on where it is, maybe we can drop one (or some) off to you. Either way, every penny Q98.5 raises for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital keeps the lights on, doors open, and most importantly - it keeps the mission continuing - beating cancer, finding cures, and making sure no St. Jude family every receives a bill.

We will announce the grand total of our Million Pennies Challenge before the final total of our Country Cares for St. Jude Kids radiothon.
