20 Local Businesses Step Up to Support Gigi’s Playhouse Rockford

October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month, and Rockford is blessed to have an amazing resource center for Down Syndrome families right here in our backyard called Gigi's Playhouse. All of the services they provide are free, and range from prenatal diagnoses up to adulthood.

I've noticed a few local businesses posting about special events they will be doing this month to benefit Gigi's Playhouse in Rockford, but when I went to Gigi's Playhouses' Facebook to get more information so I could write about it, I saw this and it brought tears to my eyes....

I was expecting to get information about 3 events, and I come across a list of over 20...how amazing!!!!!

To each and every one of these participating businesses I would like to say, thank you.

Thank you for understanding and demonstrating that this city is full of good people who do good for others every single day.

Each one of us should make it a point to patron as many of the events listed above as possible to not only support amazing local families, but the businesses that have their backs as well.
