Back in October, there was a massive ground beef recall and now the USDA is recalling 12 million pounds of beef.

Let's mark 2018 as the year of recalls because, seriously, there's another meat recall and the product could be frozen in your freezer right now. According to USDA, the meat was processed and sold to July 26, 2018, to Sept. 7, 2018, and consumers should look for EST. 267 on product labels.

JBS Tolleson, Inc., a Tolleson, Ariz. establishment, is recalling approximately 12,093,271 pounds of non-intact raw beef products that may be contaminated with Salmonella Newport, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

The recall is level one which means "this a health hazard situation where there is a reasonable probability that the use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death." The contaminated beef has made 250 people ill so far.
