With less than a week until Thanksgiving, a major turkey distributor is voluntarily recalling one of the products are reports of salmonella contamination.

Per Jennie-O's article, there were no reports of someone becoming ill after being exposed to salmonella through one of their products but the company is taking appropriate measures for the sake of consumers. Also, this recall does not relate to whole turkeys. The product in question is raw ground turkey products on September 11, 2018

  • 1-lb. packages of “Jennie-O TACO SEASONED GROUND TURKEY” with a “Use by” date of 10/02/2018. UPC Code: 4222230202
  • 1-lb. packages of “Jennie-O GROUND TURKEY 85% LEAN | 15% FAT” with a “Use by” date of 10/02/2018. UPC Code: 4222231307
  • 1-lb. packages of “Jennie-O ITALIAN SEASONED GROUND TURKEY” with a “Use by” date of 10/02/2018. UPC CODE: 4222230203

These products can bed returned to the store where purchased for an exchange or refunds can be handled by phone at 1-800-621-3505.
