In less than 2 weeks, the Insane Inflatable 5K makes it way to the Boone County Fairgrounds. For some, it will be their first race. What can you expect?

If you are running in your first race, congratulations. Now on race day, you are going to be excited. Maybe even nervous. According to this list, Here are five things you are going to expect at the Insane Inflatable 5K:

1. Make A Plan

This has to do with a plan to run the race. Not the sort of plan of where to park and what to wear. When you are going to run 3.1 miles, you are going to have to pace yourself. Make a plan to run faster the first mile and maybe pace yourself the second mile and finish strong the last 1.1 miles. Also, make sure you have positive thoughts when you make it to a point that you wanted to reach in your goal.

2. Run With A Buddy

If you have been training with the same person for the race, why not run the race together. You will be more confident and can have a nice conversation for the entire time.

3. Smile

You are going to be going through some rough spots during the race. It would be great to crack a smile and enjoy the moment. You are doing something that many people would love to be able to do. Plus, remember what you are doing this for. It is for a great cause and for your own health benefit.

4. The Final Countdown

It is getting close to the end and you just want to quit. Keep yourself motivated and push yourself for that last little bit. Just remember that at the end, you will be rewarded and can say you did it.

5. After The Race

You did it!! You completed your first 5K! Make sure to walk around and stretch so you won't be as sore the next day. Keep that smile on your face and have fun the rest of the day. Drink plenty of water as well.

All of these tips should be helpful in making the Insane Inflatable 5K a huge success for you. If you have not signed up yet, do it below.
