Halloween candy is everywhere this time of year. Sugar treats are being shared at home, work and school. What if you or your child are diabetic? There's a Healthy Halloween Party in the area to check out.

This time of year can be challenging for parents, and kids who cannot have sugar, or treats. Image the temptation day in and day out around Halloween?

Thanks to our friends at University of Illinois Rockford, 1601 Parkview Avenue in Rockford, kids will be able to enjoy healthy Halloween treats. There's even a costume contest, and you can try your luck party games.

Sponsored by Northern Illinois Diabetes Coalition and the Pediatric Interest Group at the U of I College of Medicine at Rockford, kids up to 5th grade can enjoy a healthy Halloween.

Get there early for the fun on Halloween Saturday, October 31 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. or until all the candy is gone.

This is just another example of a good deed in the Stateline.
