Well this morning bright and early we got to get a sneak peak of Six Flags Great America's Holiday in the Park and it did not disappoint. From the moment we walked through the gates the holiday spirit was in full force. Scattered around the park was an assortment of beautifully decorated Christmas trees, and everywhere you looked there were Christmas lights strung across buildings, over walkways and even on some of the rides. Truth be told over 2 million Led lights cover the park for this great event, it's definitely a sight to see. This is the first time ever that Great America has done this amazing transformation to the park.

When it comes to the food there are so many different kinds of tasty holiday treats. One item we saw was a Christmas dinner complete with turkey, ham and even dressing. Another item on the menu was Red Velvet Funnel cake and other traditional holiday favorites like Eggnog, Hot Chocolate, Pecan Pie, cookies, smore's that you actually make over a real fire and even Christmas Tamales.

We got to ride the new attraction "The Peppermint Swirl" and it was really a blast complete with lights, snow and music. It was surrounded by a huge Led Christmas castle that showed fun holidays animations. There was also what looked like a new line of plush toys that were super cute just for Holiday in the park. The best part is lots of your favorite attractions will still be open during this event. Hope to see you there!
