Even though we are on a shelter in place, many individuals still have jobs deemed essential. Without schools or day cares open, these parents are scrambling trying to find someone to watch their kids.

The YMCA of Rock River Valley is opening their emergency childcare services to essential workers according to WTVO.

Emergency care is available Monday through Friday between 6:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Children up to 5 years of age must register in person at 2918 Glenwood Avenue. Rates are between $154 - $255 a week. Parents can call 815-977-4576 with any questions.

For children between the ages of 5 - 12, SwedishAmerican Riverfront YMCA charges $20 - $25 a day. Parents can call 815-489-1252 with any questions.

They will also be screening everyone who enters the facility with a questionnaire and taking temperatures according to the press release.
