Meet the Bar in Wisconsin Where It’s Christmas Every Single Day

Did you know there's a bar in Appleton, Wisconsin that is decked out in full-blown Christmas 365 days a year?

As a self-proclaimed Christmas addict, I am ashamed to admit I never knew there was a year-round Christmas bar in Wisconsin until today. I mean, who wouldn't want to go to a bar that is filled with holiday joy and lights all year long?!

Cleo's Cocktail Lounge in Appleton, Wisconsin

Cleo's Cocktail Lounge is located at 203 W College Ave. in Appleton, Wisconsin, and has been open since 1970.

From the outside, Cleo's looks like a normal downtown bar...except for the nutcrackers on the sidewalk and the Christmas lights on the window. (FYI, this Google Street View shot was not taken during the holiday season):

When it comes to Christmas decorations, I'm of the "go big, or go home" frame of mind and apparently, so was the original owner of Cleo's.

Besides being decked out in Christmas 24/7, Cleo's is often beloved for its specialty, themed cocktails and martinis, like The Dirty Snowball (a boozy Frosty)  or The Grinch (mint chocolate martini).

If you love visiting laid-back bars that are unique and slightly dive bar-ish, Cleo's needs to be on your must-visit list. Here are a few reviews from Trip Advisor that will prove my point:

We often take out-of-town visitors to Cleos because it's still the best place to have a conversation over a beverage. It's an old-school kind of cocktail lounge. The kind of place you go to for meeting people, talking about life, and enjoying well made drinks.

I think I just found the perfect excuse for an adults-only road trip this holiday season, don't you?
