I just love when a restaurant's kitchen staff just 'goes for it' with a new menu item. No rules, just have some fun and maybe end up creating a masterpiece.

One thing is for sure about this new burger in Loves Park, Illinois... it is a BEAST!

Is this the tallest hamburger in Illinois?

While I cannot confirm if it is the tallest, it's definitely near the fattest and greasiest.

The latest creation from Casey's Pub in Loves Park is a burger behemoth called

'The Pritzker'

I have absolutely no idea why they gave the burger this name, but I suspect because it will take a mammoth-sized appetite to eat it and that's one thing we can say the governor of Illinois does in fact have.

This is a full pound of ground beef with fried ham, fried cheese curds, bacon, then drizzled with ranch on a pretzel bun.

About 'The Pritzker's size, Paul S. said,

"Looks great if you can unhinge your entire jaw like a snake."

Many have tried to eat this in one sitting, only a few have succeeded. Many couples order this one to split.

Quick Note: The Pritzker is so big they've had to create a special container for to-go orders.

Dani's Molten Lava burger with habañero, fried jalapeños and fried cheese curds need to get in my belly too.
