The Winnebago County Board voted, and endorses an I-90 casino location according to a report in the Rockford Register Star. Now, the county board doesn't get an actual vote in this process, but they officially "endorse" a casino near the interstate, which may be the former Clock Tower Resort location.

The resolution was approved 14-5. The city will take casino proposals until 2 p.m. on Aug. 30. From there, the city will send the "best ones" to the Illinois Gambling Board by Oct. 25.
