Who Will Be Painting Rockford’s New Downtown Murals?
We learned where the new murals will be but who are the artists making it happen? You might recognize two of them.
So we now know the eight locations that will be getting murals and they each will be in downtown Rockford. We also know who will be behind these massive works of art. Two of the artists already have masterpieces in Rockford.
Rockford's very own Libby Frost will be creating artwork on the underpass of Jefferson Street Bridge on Madison Street. Libby also created the mural on E. State Street Bridge near the Joe Marino statue.
Another artist down the street from Rockford is artist Brett Whitacre from Sycamore. You've probably seen some of his artwork, too, because he did this for Beef-a-Roo...
and this for Rockford's newest food truck, Disco Chicken.
