That's right, you don't have to travel miles and miles to give this a try. West Rock Wake park has opened in on Levings Lake on Rockford’s Southwest side.

You don't need a boat to wakeboard as West Rock is a cable wake park. That means you can water ski and wake board without a boat..  The park offers stand-up paddle board rentals, camps and  something for everybody for a great day on the lake.

Talks are in the works for future expansion and more amenities.

West Rock is open from 12 p.m. - 7 p.m. every day of the week.
