It's been an active year in our skies when it comes to meteors, fireballs and such. That includes an event Wednesday evening when videos captured a fireball reportedly seen by hundreds over Missouri and Illinois.

The American Meteor Society already has dozens of reports from Missouri and Illinois of this meteor that streaked across our skies Wednesday night at around 9:15 pm. Here are some videos that captured the event. First one is from Dan Bush from Missouri Skies on YouTube.

William Mattison of Lost in the Ozarks saw the fireball, too.

Mason Psinas shared this video taken from just south of Peoria, Illinois.

It's not often you get so many videos of one fireball from so many different locations. That's one reason why I regularly check the American Meteor Society website to see what is happening over our heads.
