Illinois Brewery Releases New Cans With A Special Tribute To Its Regulars

Do you know what makes a beer drinker happy, aside from free beer? They love it when said brewery does something special for its biggest and most loyal fans. This is exactly the case for a beloved brewery in Rockford, Illinois.

This reminds me of a few summers ago with two Rockton guys landed on cans of their favorite summertime beer. I don't recall the specific year when this promotion took place but it was definitely a smart move for a nationwide beer. I was taken aback when I saw someone I know (and their friend) on a can of Twisted Tea. I can only imagine their excitement. You can see it here.

Something that is even more special is when a beer maker does something like this with specific people in mind as a way to say, "we appreciate you."

Urban Forest Craft Brewing decided to offer their most popular beer, Kölsch, in a 12oz can.

It was our first beer to take 1st place in a judged event, a personal favorite of ours to drink, and holds a special place in our hearts.

Dustin Eckhardt, one of the amazing team members at Urban Forest, whipped up a truly special design for can labels. It features cartoon-like drawings of important people in their world. You might even recognize someone on the can. I was able to identify two awesome people I know.

In a departure from our normal minimalistic designs, it represents what we all love to do... have a beer with our friends! An homage to the Kindred spirits in our lives.
