For the life of me, I can't figure why we're still fixated on potholes. Sure, they're not good for most vehicles' alignment and they can do a real number on tires, but it's not a new problem. Potholes are what happens in the upper-midwest every winter, it's not just a Rockford thing.

The topic of potholes could fall into the same conversation as complaining about driving in the snow - also not a new thing. It's an easy thing to hate and cry about with others (especially on social media) but it's almost as easy reporting said potholes to the proper people. And, I hate to break it to you, the random friends and family on Facebook probably aren't the proper channels for pothole reporting.

Alas, there is a way to report potholes to City of Rockford's Public Works Department - do it by clicking here or call (779) 348-7260.
