Two Rockford Men Busted With Five Pounds Of Cocaine
Marijuana might be on the way to being legalized in Illinois but there's definitely one drug that doesn't stand a chance, Cocaine. On March 5th, the Winnebago County Sheriff's office pulled over Nazario Valencia Alvarez for a traffic stop. Alvarez wasn't alone, he had a passenger, 23 year old Nazario Valencia Gutierrez. While the officers were searching the truck they found 2,428 grams of Cocaine in sealed bags.
The two men were arrested and taken to the Winnebago County Jail. They have been indicted and charged with delivery of a controlled substance. Marijuana may be ever more present these days in our community but we definitely need to get as much of this stuff off the streets as possible. If these men are convicted, they will face anywhere from 15 to 60 years a piece for this crime.
