You can get wings just about anywhere in Rockford.

So then I'm sure you're wondering "why do I need to leave town then?"

That's because if you have had enough wings you can tell the good from the meh.

That's where Esquire comes in with their list of the Best Wing Spots in Every State.

YOU WON'T HAVE TO PACK AN OVERNIGHT BAG TO GET THESE WINGS

Two of the best are actually within driving distance of Rockford. Imagine that, a chicken wing road cruise.

FROM ROCKFORD TO CHICAGO

First, you can head into Chicago to try the wings at Del Seoul, which Esquire says is the best place for wings in Illinois.

These K-Town chicken wings come lollipop style and tossed with a baller soy, chili, and garlic glaze. Is your mouth watering yet?

Del Seoul is located at 2568 North Clark Street in Chicago and they open at noon daily.

FROM CHICAGO TO WISCONSIN

After you're done in Chicago, you'll make the trek to Wisconsin, and Sun Prairie, about 90 minutes from Rockford, to hit up Chicken Lips.

Esquire also says Chicken Lips is the best wings spot in Wisconsin.

This dive bar-esque spot not only has great personality but also wings to rave about. Their dry rub is so popular one Facebook fan recommended asking for it on the chips and salsa, too.

Chicken Lips is so off the beaten path, they don't have a website, Instagram or Facebook.

Not that it matters, Chicken Lips customers say "They have by far the tastiest and largest chicken wings" and "From traditional Buffalo sauce to their sexy dry rub, make sure you try them all."

I have never heard anyone refer to a dry rub as "sexy" but who Hnub H. on Yelp might be onto something.
