Another day, another disease. It's been pretty scary lately with all the Measles cases in the news. A few weeks ago the Chagas Disease and the kissing bug were all over the internet. Between all that and crazy food recalls it almost makes you wan to stay home. A few months ago, we heard about  few people at the Christmas mountain resort in the Wisconsin Dells contracting the deadly Legionnaires' disease. Well it looks like a 2 more cases Legionnaires' disease were just diagnosed in Chicago according to

To make matters worse, They don't exactly know where it came from yet. The two patients are being treated at The University Of Chicago Medical center. From what we know, Legionella bacteria occurs naturally and can become airborne through A/C units, hot tubs, showers and fountains. The bacteria has also been known to cause pneumonia when inhaled. The Chicago Department of Health is helping with the investigation. They tested the hospital's water this week but the results have not yet been released.

There is a little good news here though, Legionnaires' disease is not contagious. This seems to be happening more and more. Two other patients at Mercy Hospital and the medical center tested positive last Friday. It starts to get scary when you can get sick from the place that's supposed to heal you.
