Fundraiser Launched for Grieving Family of Machesney Park Toddler Killed in Accident

On Wednesday, November 13, 2024 two-year-old Roland Shreve of Machesney Park, Illinois was killed in a car accident that also left his 6 year old brother in critical condition. Now the community has started a GoFundMe to help his grieving family.

As a parent, my heart is absolutely breaking for the Shreve family of Machesney Park who lost their two-year-old son when a truck rear-ended their van on Forest Hills Road Wednesday night.  I get tears in my eyes just reading this...

I can only imagine the amount of pain that parents Mitchell and Rachel Shreve are feeling right now. Surviving a 3-vehicle crash that took one son's life, and left another fighting for his life, has to be unbearable, and my heart yearns to help them in any way possible.

As the Shreve family tries to survive the grueling days ahead; burying one son and helping another heal, the one thing this community can do is help ease the financial worries that follow such a tragic event.
