Today is a good day to find a Joe you know and give them a high five. Here are some well known Rockford Joe's.

Why do you we salute all the Joe's we know today? Because it's National Joe Day, according to National Day Calendar.

"Joe" seems like a common name amongst men in America but, truth be told, I can only think of a few around Rockford.

Other Honorable Joe's

Monkey Joe's

How could I write about Rockford Joe's without mentioning Monkey Joe's? Sure, it's not a person but it's a great place to take the kids to burn off energy. In fact, I'm writing this from there right now... because apparently I'm too big to jump.

Sloppy Joe

Nope, not a nickname for a friend - more like the actual sandwich. I love a good sloppy Joe, the kind that's dripping over the bun. And in case you're curious, this will be dinner tonight at mi casa.

Joe Marino

How could I mention Uncle Joe at the bottom of the list of Joe's I know? I was saving the best for last because Joe Marino is synonymous with Rockford. Joe is the mastermind behind Rockford's 4th of July fireworks and the Holiday Festival of Lights. This coming Independence day will be the 54th year of fireworks celebration in Rockford. That is amazing. Thanks, Joe!

What Joe do you know? Call Joe and tell them thanks for being a Joe.
