Grab those old Christmas cards that have been living in a box and send them to me, no for real, I want them, here's why.

So many of us have been waiting for December this year. Sure, we want to pretend that when the clock strikes midnight on January 1. 2021 all of the crappy things that happened this year will go away... but also I think we're been waiting for December because it's easier to try to be happy during the holidays.

We don't have the same calendar full of parties waiting for us but we can get into the holiday spirit in a bunch of different ways, and last Wednesday on the Good Day Stateline Facebook Page's Wine Wednesday episode, my mom and I came up with what I think is a really fun way to spread some holiday cheer.

I want you to send me your old Christmas cards, and I will send them out to other people this year! I'll sign them and leave a personal note, but it will be an old card from someone else.

When I say old cards, I mean it! Whatever extra cards you have from whatever year fits what I'm looking for. No envelopes? No problem, we'll make it work.

In a week I've already got two sets of old cards to send out and more on the way, and I have a few people who want to be a part of this exchange and would like me to send them a card this holiday season.

You pick! Do you want to give me your old cards? Do you want me to send you a Christmas card? Better yet - pick both!

Please send any cards to the 97ZOK studios at 3901 Brendenwood Road, Rockford, IL 61107 and then send me a message on the 97ZOK app or through my Facebook page with your address if you'd like to receive a card.

Why not end 2020 with something goofy, right?

I can't wait to see your old cards!
