After a chaotic day of information, here is a timeline of the tragic day resulting in the death of McHenry Country Deputy Sheriff Jacob Keltner in Rockford.

9:15 a.m. - U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force attempted to arrest 39-year-old Floyd Brown, of Springfield, IL, on several outstanding warrants.

9:15 a.m. - Police officers responded Extended Stay America (747 N. Bell School Rd.) to assist US Marshals in reference to a report of shots fired. Reports suggest shots were fired inside room 305 of the hotel in the direction of officers. This may have been when the 25-year-old woman in the room with the suspect was shot. 9:?? a.m.- The suspect reportedly fired through a third-floor window to escape. This is when McHenry County Deputy Sheriff Jacob Keltner was hit in the head by gunfire. (Federal report via WREX)

9:22 a.m. - Rockford Police Department announced media briefing scheduled for (Thursday) in the east reserved lot of Giovanni’s (610 N. Bell School) with regards to the active shooter situation.

9:59 a.m. - Rockford Police Department alerts residents via Facebook pf a dangerous situation in progress.

RPD officers are on scene investigating an active shooter situation at the extended stay off N. Bell School Rd. Please avoid the area.

10:20 a.m. - RPD announces another media briefing scheduled from 12:30 p.m. inside Giovanni's.

11:00 a.m. - (Soft) Lockdowns began throughout the area, including nearby hospital, stores, restaurants, and schools.

12:26 p.m. - After fleeing, the suspect was stopped on Interstate 55 in Logan County. (RRStar)

1:00 p.m. - RPD holds media briefing inside Giovanni's. (VIDEO)

2:10 p.m. - Rockford Police Department released a statement dismissing reports that Deputy Keltner had died.

2:52 p.m. - Rockford Police Department releases detail information regarding the incidents that have taken place since 9:15 a.m. The suspect's vehicle description and license plate information was also released via Twitter.

3:54 p.m. - McHenry County Sheriff's Office announced Deputy Keltner's end of watch.

4:48 p.m. - Rockford Police Department release a final statement regarding the suspect had been caught.

5:40 p.m. - WREX TV shares fallen officer Deputy Keltner's procession route from Javon Bea Hospital to Winnebago County Coroner's Office.

5:51 p.m. - Rockford Police Department give procession coverage instructions for media.

8:00 p.m. - Procession begins with Deputy Keltner being escorted to Winnebago County Coroner's Office by hundreds of police vehicles with thousands of Rockford citizens along the route paying respect for the fallen officer.
