‘The Voice’ Coaches Have Gone Country for Hilarious Super Bowl Commercial
The Voice has gone country! In a promotional clip for Season 14 set to air during Sunday's (Feb. 4) Super Bowl, Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Alicia Keys and Kelly Clarkson are hanging in the countryside.
The minute-long clip first cuts to Shelton, who is relaxing on his porch. It's an extra country scene, with two pies cooling on the windowsill and Shelton erupting into song: "Ain't nothin' like sitting on a country porch," he belts.
He's had a heavy impact on his fellow The Voice coaches, who have adopted a country lifestyle in this commercial. A sign shows they're hanging out at "Blake's Cabin." Keys sits on a bale of hay as she plays a beautiful upright piano, while Levine sips some lemonade on his motorcycle. New coach Clarkson takes the cake, though — she is seen donning a beautiful black gown with a long train as she sings in an open field surrounded by butterflies.
Soon thousands of backing singers appear out of nowhere — of course, wearing flannel — while others are seen in white gowns similar to a gospel choir. It's unlike any ad previously released from the four coaches and likely one that will be hard to top. Carson Daly also has a starring role where he happily holds a baby cow in his arms.
The Voice returns on Feb. 26 with Clarkson as a first-time coach.
