April 15th. You see that date and you know it means one thing. Better have your taxes done. This year could be a little different though.

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said he will recommend to President Trump that the IRS should delay tax payments without penalty or interest according to the New York Times.

With the virus disrupting everyday life for many Americans, including CPA's and tax professionals, many are left wondering if they will be able to meet with theirs before the deadline.

As of right now though, still plan on having your taxes done by the April 15th deadline. It's better to be prepared than trying to run around and get them done. Plus if you are due back a return, the earlier you file the quicker you get back. One CPA did tell me that if you owe, waiting to get closer to the deadline could give you more time to come up with the money before officially filing.
