If you've ever wanted to work for Target, here's a great reason. Target says they want to help with backup child and elder care as well as extending family time off.

The plan is to help employees with those times when daycare and schools are closed or other necessary caregiver plans fall through.

The purpose is to provide a backup when school or daycare is closed, or a babysitter or other care provider falls through. Target says the program will include 20 days total of in-center child care, or in-home child- and eldercare.

For those life changes that require time off, Target is doubling their current plan.

That benefit is offered to employees having a child either by birth, adoption, surrogacy or foster placement.

And, even more, Target is extending plans for other forms of life changes.

... doubling its adoption and surrogacy reimbursement for employees.
