Unless you ordered food yesterday after new surcharges were added by major food delivery companies (and went into effect), you may not have noticed a price increase.
So what's the problem? It's not like Illinoisans pay the highest tax rates in the nation, or the second-highest property taxes, or among the highest gas prices coast-to-coast...oh, wait.
We all hate it when fee get increased for things but what if it's for a good cause that they were raised? That's what Chicago is hoping as they're considering a surcharge on Airbnb and other home sharing rentals.
