Well, this was more than a little unexpected. There are at least 7 retailers who have announced they will be closed for a 24-hour period in Missouri during a time when they were previously open.

A sign of the times.

It's obvious that Macy's is trying to execute a massive overhaul to try and save its business. The company just announced that 150 more stores will be closing. The question for Missouri is if (or how many) stores in the state will be affected.

After reporting declining sales in 2023, Macy's has announced some big changes ahead including closing stores and pivoting to a more 'luxurious" image.

Geoffrey the Toys R Us giraffe and thousands of his toys may be returning to Rockford as part of a plan for the stores return to grace.

Chicago's 'Magnificent' Mile is becoming a little less so. The Michigan Avenue department store is preparing a several-weeks-long clearance sale.
