What is the longest highway in Illinois? There are technically two answers to that question.

Everyone has a road that they just hate to travel on. According to a nationwide survey of more than 3,000 drivers, 2 of America's most hated highways call Illinois home and I agree they are annoying for a number of reasons.

I come from a family of truck drivers so this is one of those rare internet rankings that I actually care about. Yes, even cynical me can be happy that the interstate that truckers say is the best in America goes straight through Wisconsin.

It's deadly now, but used to be even worse. The truth is that the most feared road in Missouri has very much earned the deadly reputation it's developed for decades.

I have driven these Missouri roadways so many times in my life, I completely understand why a new national survey has declared them among the 'most loathed' in America. Been there and done that.
