Step Into Holiday Magic As a Volunteer at Stroll On State
Have you ever wondered what it takes to pull off Rockford's biggest holiday event of the year, Stroll On State? Well, here's your chance to witness the magic first-hand!
Favorite Holiday Events in Rockford
I am a Christmas girl to the core, and now that fall has finally arrived, my itch to start decorating and preparing for the holiday season is getting too intense to ignore.
It may be too early to put up the tree and stockings, but it's never too early to start planning all the fun things my family needs to do, see, and experience this Christmas.
For my family, no holiday season is complete without doing this list of things:
- Going on at least two holiday light drives.
- Taking a walk through the outdoor lights at Nicholas Conservatory and Gardens and then driving through the Festival of Lights.
- Spending a weekend baking Christmas cookies.
- Visiting our favorite Santa.
- Going to Stroll On State.
Speaking of Stoll On State, have you marked Saturday, November 29 on your calendar yet? That's when the holiday season will officially kick off in Rockford, and you won't want to miss it!
Volunteers Needed for Stroll On State
If you've been to Stroll On State before, you know this celebration is MASSIVE and it takes a LOT of volunteers to pull it off.
Decoration preparations are already taking place at Santa's Workshop (310 S Winnebago St.) every Tuesday night and Saturday morning, but as Stroll On State gets nearer, the amount of volunteers needed gets greater. Please gather up your family and friends and volunteer to be a part of it!
Day-Of volunteers aren't the only ones needed for Stroll On State. The committee also needs help decorating downtown on November 21–22 and taking everything down on January 10.
