Storming Crab Is Aiming to Open Next Week in Rockford

It's been well over a year since the "Storming Crab Coming Soon" banner went up on the former Perkins location on East State Street in Rockford. I drive by that building often, and up until the last few months, no real "action" seemed to be happening there. Yes, we have been in the grips of a pandemic, but now that the future is looking brighter again, it looks like Storming Crab is finally ready to unleash the Cajun.

When it comes to social media stalking, Storming Crab Rockford's Facebook has been on my weekly list of "hits" as I have a duty to provide you with the newest happenings in Rockford. I have been trying to figure out when Storming Crab will be officially opening in our fair city, and this morning I finally found what I was looking for...

I know what you're thinking; "that's just a menu, Shannon. I don't see an opening date listed." Well, you are correct, until you take a look at that post's comments...

At this point I am assuming the "12th" they are referring to is Monday, April 12, and that my friends, is one week away.

Need further proof that the opening is happening sooner rather than later? Feast your eyes on this...

Getting staff hired and trained in less than a week does seem like a daunting task, but I'm hoping Storming Crab can pull it off and at least have a soft opening next week. You might want to give Storming Crab Rockford a "like" on Facebook to stay up to date on all the official news.
