There's another option for drive-in movies at a sports stadium in the Chicago suburbs.

Things are starting to open up after weeks of being on lockdown. It's just in time for the nice weather happening in our area. We've all spent plenty of time sitting in front of the television. It's time to go out and enjoy life. There's a couple of problems with that plan. First, there are still restrictions. Also, many summertime activities have been canceled for this year.

Looks like we need a gameplan. One thing that has been quite popular is drive-in movies. You're outside, keeping your social distance, and still doing something fun with the family. Unfortunately, many of them have closed. We are lucky to have a couple not far from Rockford. They've been packed and sold out, so another option doesn't hurt.

According to timeout.com,

"The Chicago Drive-In Theater will show movies seven days a week on a 70-foot screen, with room for up to 300 cars in one of SeatGeek Stadium's parking lots. Audio for each film will be broadcast on FM radio, allowing guests to tune in with their car radio or portable radio. You'll have to sit inside your car while enjoying the movie and bring a face covering to wear while grabbing concessions or using the on-site restrooms."

It sounds like something to check out.
