Winter is back and the big stuff is coming on Monday evening and nightThe Chicago Tribune reports that some parts of Northern Illinois could receive up to 11 inches of the white stuff between Sunday and Tuesday. 1 to 3 inches on average fell as of Sunday morning, an additional 6-8 inches could be on the way

National Weather Service meteorologist Ben Deubelbeiss told the Tribune that up to 7 or 8 inches in some isolated areas.

It’ll be white powdery snow The roads might still be pretty messy on Tuesday.

The National Weather Service has issued a WIND CHILL ADVISORY FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO NOON CST MONDAY and a WINTER STORM WATCH FROM MONDAY EVENING THROUGH LATE MONDAY NIGHT

  • Expect Wind Chills 20 to 30 below Zero.
  • For the snow, expect it to occur Monday Night into early Tuesday. The Rockford Area can expect accumulations of snow in excess of 6 inches.
