We all enjoy food, plenty of us enjoy cocktails, and sometimes that enjoyment can be amplified by the environment. If you put all of those thoughts into a fishbowl of an idea and you might come up with a cool idea like in Ottawa, Illinois.

The sign out front doesn't appear to be misleading; fabulous food and dynamite drinks. I've been surfing through social media and the sign seems to be on point based on looks alone.

What makes A'Lure unique is what is inside those walls. The bar itself is a massive fish tank for you to enjoy your food and drinks on. More on that in a moment.

Drinks right on point. Came back later for after dinner drinks. Still love the drinks, bartenders great friendly.

The aquarium?

We enjoyed sitting at the bar and watching the fish. I could see this being a cute date night.

By now you should have gathered the theme of A'Lure, right?

The visuals on the decor are visually stimulating, the drinks pop visually, and the food looks delicious. Combine that with being able to look down into the aquarium while you're there makes this place unique, without question.

This would be a great place to visit after a trip to Starved Rock Country.
