Sometimes the idea of walking up to strangers house and asking for candy just seems odd. It really goes against everything we were taught as kids, except for one day out of the year. Now, the likelihood of something bad actually happening is pretty small, but it's always a possibility.

There's also the possibility that while out supervising the young ones, some kids could "accidentally" knock over your pumpkins for not being home to give out candy. The Rockford Police Department has a way to ensure neither one of those things happen with Trunk or Treat!

Join them on Monday, October 28th from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Rockford Public School Building (501 7th St.) to do some trick-or-treating with your little ones. Dress them up in their costumes and let them get candy from the back of cop cars, ambulances, fire trucks, & more. It's completely free to attend and is a great way to ensure your little ones safety and maybe get some extra candy for mom & dad this year too!
