If you are driving tonight, beware as measurable snow is expected. The Stateline can expect to 1- 2 inches tonight after 11:00 pm. Just enough to have to shovel.
According to the National Weather Service, what will come through tonight is what is known as a clipper-type storm system. These systems are fast moving storm systems that will only will bring accumulating snow to areas north of an Independence, IA to Peru, IL.
If you travel into Southern Wisconsin you might receive as much as 2 inches of snow. Whatever snow we get won't last, as temperatures warm up, in hurry.
So do you think this will be Rockford's final snow for winter of 2016-2017? We doubt it.
