Rockford’s Imperial Palace To Close Doors After 27 Years
Imperial Palace, a longtime Rockford favorite, will shutter permanently at the end of this month for a couple of good reasons.
They're losing two chefs.
“This is a decision that weighs heavily on our hearts and minds,” restaurant owners Paul and Karen Lai said in a news release. “We will be losing two of our long-time chefs of 20 years, one for health reasons and the other is moving out of state for family reasons.”
The establishment is encouraging diners with gift cards and coupons to use them in the coming weeks.
Imperial Palace is open every day of the week with the exception of Tuesday.
As a carry-out customer of theirs for the last 27 years, I wish them all the best, and I promise I'll be swinging by very soon for an exceptionally large order of Crab Rangoon.
