Those gigantic empty parking lots and all those buckets waiting to be filled with hot-buttered popcorn. I have really missed going see a movie at AMC.

Stateline movie fans, AMC Theaters just announced how and when they'll be reopening. First, the 'when'. On Thursday, August 20, AMC 16 Theaters in Rockford will reopen as part of a phased opening plan. In the first phase, AMC will open more than 100 of their over 600 theaters in the United States.

Here's comes some more fantastic news. On August 20, for one-day only, all tickets at AMC will be priced at 15 cents (plus sales tax).

Right now, AMC's plan is to open about two-thirds of their theaters, not including AMC 14 in Machesney Park. It will eventually reopen, but only after authorized to do so by state and local officials.

After August 20, bring-back titles such as the special Inception 10th anniversary event, as well as titles like Black Panther, Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, Grease and STAR WARS: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back will be priced at only $5, according to WIFR.com.

Here's some more great news. Our AMC Stubs cards are about to see some action when AMC reopens. AMC Stubs members will earn double points on all ticket and food & drink purchases through the end of October.
