Some people find joy spending the day in a hot kitchen preparing multiple dishes for the people they love on Thanksgiving. I am not one of those people.
I'm the woman who brings the Great Harvest Bread or turkey-shaped cheese, meat, and cracker tray, while my husband bakes one of the turkeys to bring to the family meal.
To me, cooking Thanksgiving dinner looks like a full-contact sport. You’ve got a massive bird that takes up all the oven space, fifteen different sides that somehow all need to be heated at 350 degrees, and then there are all the dishes that need to be cleaned before you pass out in a chair. No thank you.

I do need to accept that my day of hosting Thanksgiving will likely come sooner rather than later, and the only thing I know I will do for sure is: order a fully catered meal from someone else.

The purpose of Thanksgiving is to gather with family and friends, celebrate what we are thankful for, and enjoy a delicious meal.
Since I am comfortable with the fact that "delicious meal" and "cooked by me" are two statements that will never go together, ordering Thanksgiving dinner to go will be the key to a successful holiday gathering.
