During the project, Montague Street will be closed to all southbound traffic, with limited local access only, and through traffic detoured onto Morgan Street.

To avoid delays, motorists should use an alternate route. Construction crews will have proper traffic controls and signage in place to help guide drivers safely through the area.

North Prospect Street Closed for Water Main Work

Another road closure for water main work begins on Thursday (October 9) in the 300 block of North Prospect Street.

All through traffic on North Prospect between Crosby Street and Benton Street to allow crews to complete critical water main repairs.

A detour at North Prospect Street and Rural Street will direct southbound traffic west to Summit Street, while a detour at East State Street and North Prospect Street will guide northbound drivers west to Summit Street.

Residential access will remain open to residents within the construction zone. Drivers are reminded to obey the work zone speed limit and remain alert for crews working in the area.

Both Projects Could Be Completed in a Day

According to the press release for the Montague Road project, work is expected to be completed in 1 to 3 business days, weather permitting.

Work on the North Prospect Street project is expected to be completed by the end of Thursday (10/9), while all businesses and residences will remain open.

If temporary water shutoffs are necessary, residents will be notified in advance with notices placed on their doors.
