If you are thinking of traveling this summer and plan to venture outside of the country, you will need a passport to leave and more importantly, to get back in. The Rockford Post office going to make it easier for you to get that passport  

The Rockford Post Office, at 5225 Harrison Avenue, will hold their Passport Days event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 21 -23.

In the past, a reservation used to required to get your passport. Not anymore, as Stateline residents can now apply for a passport without making reservations.

The cost to get a new passport is $110, there is also an acceptance fee of $25 to the Postal Service for first-time adult applicants. For those aged 15 and younger, the fee is $80 a passport. Parents must be present.
