Rockford KFC Employees Thwart Armed Robber
The Colonel says you're gonna pay for this chicken. According to WIFR, on Monday evening KFC employee's at the Kilburn Avenue location stopped an attempted armed robbery. So around 6:15 Monday night an unknown black male walked into the KFC location armed with a kitchen knife demanding money. It seems the employees were having none of that and refused to give the man anything.
The man then tried to open the register on his own but ended up empty-handed. Soon after he fled on foot. The last time he was seen, he was headed northbound from the restaurant. Luckily no one was injured in the incident and the crook got away with nothing. The investigation is currently on-going and no suspects have been named at this time.
I will say this If someone comes into your place of business with a gun or even a knife and demands something I would just give it to them. No amount of money or chicken is worth your life. The KFC employees were very lucky but you just never know what could happen in a situation like that. Excuse me, sir, would you like fries with that?
