After having a few weeks of sweet gas relief, it appears that previous pain in our wallet is about to return.

According to Rockford Gas Prices, gas prices have risen in the past week to an average of $3.60 per gallon in the Rockford area. That's $.02 cheaper than the national average.

Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan tells WTVO  "Oil prices have perked back up, and some supply tightness across areas of the country helped propel wholesale gasoline prices higher last week."

DeHaan has some good news though, "gasoline prices will soon decline, but we've hit a road bump that has slowed down the price decreases- at least for now."
